Nigerian Dried Split Ginger is one of the world's most prized varieties of Zingiber officinale, celebrated for its intense aroma, high oleoresin content, and exceptional pungency. Grown in the fertile highlands of Southern Kaduna, Nasarawa and Benue States, our ginger is carefully harvested at full maturity, washed, sun-dried on raised platforms, and hand-sorted to deliver a clean, uniform, export-ready product.

Every batch is naturally sun-dried — never artificially kiln-treated — which preserves the essential oils, gingerols and shogaols that give Nigerian ginger its signature heat and flavour. The result is a spice that performs consistently in industrial, commercial and retail applications, whether you are producing beverages, baked goods, herbal remedies, or premium skincare.

Why choose our ginger?
Sourced directly from smallholder farms we have partnered with for years, processed in our own facility under strict quality control, and shipped with full export documentation — so you get traceability, consistency and peace of mind with every order.

Origin & Harvest

Our ginger is cultivated across the highland belt of Southern Kaduna — the region that produces over 70% of Nigeria's total ginger output. The area's cool climate, well-drained loamy soils and traditional farming expertise produce a rhizome with an unusually high volatile oil content, which is what gives Nigerian ginger its reputation in international markets.

  • Growing regions: Kachia, Jaba, Kafanchan, Jema'a (Southern Kaduna); Akwanga (Nasarawa); Vandeikya (Benue)
  • Harvest season: November – February
  • Processing: Hand-washed, sun-dried on raised platforms for 7–10 days, hand-sorted to remove defects
  • Grade: Grade A — split, uniform, low moisture, free from mould and foreign matter
